Best Deal in Android Tablets for Acer Iconia Tab A500-10S16u
I have owned this for two months now and purchased it about 2 weeks before the Toshiba Thrive came out therefore i was absolutely ready to return it after all I heard about the Thrive.
The fact that I still own the Icona A500 tells the tale.
I have had no crashes.
I find the multiple I/O connections very helpful.
I placed four movies (dvds I converted to H264)on an 8gb micro SD before a 5 1/2hr auto trip. the flicks looked great. Since i was driving the kids watched a pair of movies and played video games on the A500 the rest of the trip and i found many battery left when we arrived. That was at a 50-60% screen setting.
Since then I've used desktop controller software to stream Netflicks to the pill from my laptop, i use GPS & navigation software from Google it looks superb on this screen in conjunction with spreadsheet & word document programs (while Excel spreadsheets on Android aren't as full featured, they suffice for day to day tasks. Sheets created on a daily pc are simply readable). i use many different Android programs daily like readers and such and while a number of the developers are still working on their code the A500 does fine.
The Thrive boasts a full size SD and replaceable battery, but when trying it for every day I found the upper value of the Thrive for a 32gb, which is what my A500 is, wasn't worthwhile.
The Thrives additional battery is virtually $100 by the time you pay sales tax. Since that was a serious selling purpose on behalf of me,the fact that i might be spending around $700 by the time I got additional battery was a downer. The display is not any better then the A500.Come on, you can get a reasonably smart, small, full on lap prime for $700. And up to now the A500 has not failed in coming through a days work while not battery to spare on behalf of me.Although i might not fault the Thrive for its thickness, it's snug in your hand, by the time you get a canopy of some kind on it did not match well in the temporary case area I have for a pill.
I tried the ASUS. I found it to be very nice and thin. The display was fine. however its lack of I/O ports had it off of my list of decisions very quickly.
The Xoom wow, all I will say is Motorola should have been little easier on all the hype or spent longer on R&D before they place out a pill in that value range.It was not long in my possession. It's pretty, but for the cash the A500 place it to shame.
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is that the thinnest tab i tried. It's display is remarkable there isn't any question in my mind it has the most effective display,but, once more it's expensive and, just like the IPad it's created to compete against, it has no I/O choices aside from its own special plug. that's simply plain a killer downside on behalf of me.
I wanted a pill for help with my calendar, a convenient thanks to browse email, download a forgotten document,show customers photos & PDF files of products and reading Microsoft office files. in conjunction with that i use it to take photos to show customers products from a stores, record work to done or perhaps documents. Normally i might ought to get my camera out however the 5mp camera on the back extremely does great.I will pop a flash drive for quick access to files. augment that, when I get stuck watching for someone or wish to relax for awhile (tune out at lunch) I will browse a book on it or watch a movie.
